Resource 180
Support the Resource 180 Project here
We realize that many factors hinder underprivileged kids daily. To provide effective literacy support, we address the total picture by eliminating obstacles that prevent a positive learning experience. Our approach includes providing basic needs such as toiletries, clothing, shoes, and food. Ensuring children are well-fed and have clean clothes helps them focus in class and avoid bullying.
The Resource 180 Project runs year-round, starting in the fall before the holiday season and again in June, offering support to a new set of children. This program boosts morale, confidence, and social-emotional behaviors by including wishlist gifts for deserving kids. Our mission is to ensure every child in Title 1 schools has an equal chance to succeed academically and economically.
From Hunger To Hope
From Hunger To Hope is a vital initiative by HopeFor Learning that provides consistent food, clothing, hygiene items, and essential resources to underserved students and their families in Title 1 schools. The program distributes weekend meal kits to children who rely heavily on school meals during the week. It also supplies coats, shoes, uniforms, and personal care products to promote dignity, confidence, and school engagement. Emergency assistance is available for families facing housing instability or sudden crises. By removing these barriers, From Hunger To Hope creates a healthier, more stable learning environment and fosters long-term academic and emotional success.
Hope On Wheels
Hope On Wheels is our capital campaign to raise $125,000 for a Mobile Delivery and Engagement Hub that will bring critical resources directly to underserved children and families. This custom-outfitted van will allow HopeFor Learning to deliver food, clothing, hygiene products, books, and school supplies to Title 1 schools across Richmond, Chesterfield, and Henrico. By removing transportation and access barriers, we can meet families where they are with the essentials they need most. The mobile unit will also serve as a visible symbol of hope and support in the communities we serve. Your support brings us one step closer to putting hope on the road.
